Hello! I am Yakelin Jorge Ramos. I’m currently a high school junior here in Telluride, Colorado! I am excited about the amazing opportunity of a summer internship that I have at the University of Utah with the Institute of Energy and Geoscience. All this made possible by the amazing Pinhead Institute!
I have an interest in everything nuclear engineering. Primarily, I find this field interesting in the fact that new and more efficient ways of energy can be produced by nuclear energy. I’m excited about being able to do something related to this field over the upcoming summer.
Other than STEM, I love being able to do many types of media when it comes to Art. Being able to do this lets me breathe and do something I deeply enjoy, and be able to self serve myself through my art! At least once a week, I try to practice and hone my skills when it comes to the mediums of art I do. I have done multiple projects in felting, watercolor painting, and so much more that I have done.
