Hello all, My name is Eleanor Rosen, I am currently a junior at Telluride High School. I am so happy to be doing a Pinternship, I have wanted to do one since I was little, and can’t believe I get the chance to do one thanks to the Pinhead Institute.
I have loved everything science since I was young. I used to read books on infectious diseases for fun, topics from the Influenza of 1918, Polio, and Tuberculosis. In 9th grade I first heard about gene therapy, and spent weeks researching the history, and all the amazing work you can do with gene therapy. Now to get to do a pinternship I’m so excited to learn more, and do work in a lab.
Outside of STEM I have many hobbies. Reading, baking, acting, and traveling. I read basically anything, but mainly books on WWII, and diseases. Baking, for my teachers, friends, and recently I started selling what I make. I do theater through YPT, and school. I love traveling, and getting to learn about new cultures, and see the world. I look forward to this new adventure, and every experience it will give me.
