This is it, the last week of an epic saga of code, code, tears, and more code. After so long, it felt foreign to log off the Zoom call on Friday and know that I may very well never see these people that I’ve come to know over almost 3 months ever again.
My final presentation went… well. I had fallen quite behind because of my week of absence, but I pushed as hard as I could and came out with a functional project. Each of my goals was met at least technically, if not in full. Overall, I’m proud of my work. I also got the opportunity to watch my fellow LASPians present which was amazing as they are all super talented and came up with some awesome stuff.
It’s hard to believe that this is all over, but I am amazed and humbled by the fact that I was able to have this opportunity in the middle of a time of great uncertainty. I learned so much that I can carry with me well into adulthood and into the start of my career, not only in technical skills but in the things I learned about myself. I want to thank David, my mentor, for supporting me through all of the ups and downs, as well as Sarah and all of Pinhead for their support in one of the most influential experiences in my life to-date.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for following my journey,
Caitlin
