This is the new charger that I am using, a laboratory DC power supply.

This week I have been gathering data from both of the flight batteries as they are charging together. When I was discharging the batteries, the circuit protector for both of the batteries switched closed so that the batteries could not be damaged by discharging them too much. When this circuit is closed, the only way to open it back up is to basically force current into the batteries. Once the circuit detects that there is a current coming into the batteries, the circuit opens back up. In order to open this circuit back up, I had to use a different charger, since the one I was using before did not detect the batteries as a battery because the circuit would not allow enough voltage to pass through that shows a reading that corresponds to these batteries. The new charger that I am using now is a variable amp and volt charger. I set the voltage to 8.4 volts and the amps to 1 amp. This is not a perfect way to charge the batteries because as the batteries charge, the amps start to go down, and it takes a very long time to charge the batteries. This charge cycle is giving me very useful data that I will create graphs with and look at the correlation between different variables.
