Science is more than a subject. It’s part of everything we do. The more we understand, the more we can appreciate and conserve our natural world. Join us for MAD LABS on Tuesday afternoons for a different hands-on, scientific activity each week that will encourage kids to experiment, learn, design, create, investigate, and more. Get your lab coats ready – we are going to get mad in our lab! A Pinhead Institute representative will be available to walk kids to Pinhead HQ from the Telluride Elementary School.
GROW DOME SCIENCE

The Grow Dome at the Telluride High School was a thriving greenhouse until 2020, when it’s operations declined. This past year, with the help of teachers and high school volunteers, the Grow Dome was revitalized. The Grow Dome Club was started by High School Sophomore Akira Smith in order to spread this message. Akira approached Pinhead about offering a program that promotes the Grow Dome and garners interest among younger students, to ensure continued student involvement with the Grow Dome and keep it growing strong.
This program will pair younger students with high school volunteers who will mentor them in ‘garden science’. Participants will learn about geodesic domes, plant seeds, grow microgreens, prepare a garden meal, and take a field trip to the grow dome.
LEGO ROBOTS JUNIOR TELLURIDE

Do you love Legos? So do we! This class is for kids who want to learn how to program their LEGO creations to move with motors, sensors, and gears. A Pinhead Institute representative will be available to walk kids to Pinhead HQ from the Telluride Elementary School.
REFUND POLICY:
Full tuition less a $25 administrative fee will be credited to your account when cancellations occur 14 days or more before a class begins. No refund will be given when a cancellation is made less than 14 days before a class begins. Class transfers are subject to the same restrictions as cancellations, and a $25 administrative fee will apply. Please call 970.369.5190 or email info@pinheadinstitute.org if you need to cancel or transfer a class.
All classes are subject to minimum enrollment numbers; full refunds will be issued for any class canceled by the Pinhead Institute.
