Hello! My name is Valentina Zago Carolei, and I am a current Junior at Telluride High School. I was born in Brazil but grew up in Argentina. I have been traveling since I was nine years old, and thanks to the different places and cultures that I have visited, it has expanded my vision and curiosity towards other people and diverse ways of life. My time traveling, and the experiences that I have been offered, have allowed me to become fluent in four languages.
I consider myself to be a very adaptable person, and thanks to the many changes while growing up, I have learned to always keep my head up high and focus on the good aspects that life has to offer.
I can be a leader or a follower, depending on what the situation needs, and what it has to offer. My goal in life is to be a mother, and help kids throughout their journey in life. I am fascinated by the complexities within the medical field and that’s why I am determined, driven and passionate to achieve a career as a pediatrician.
Over the past four years, I have dedicated my time to volunteering at various Young Life Camps and participating in numerous missionary trips. In this photo, you can see me during my trip to Mexico, where, with the support of Hopes of Home, I had the incredible opportunity to help build a home for a wonderful family in need.
I volunteered at a Young Life Camp as part of the Work Crew, serving as a waiter for four weeks. Alongside me were many other dedicated volunteers who helped make the camp experience possible.
I thrive on helping others and meeting their needs, which is why I am passionate about pursuing a career in the medical field. That’s also why I am excited to participate in the Pinhead internship, as it aligns perfectly with my passion for serving others and gaining valuable experience in healthcare.
