Hello Everyone!
My name is Rider. I’m a Junior at Telluride Mountain School, and I’m interested in mathematics, engineering, music, and Japanese culture!
Recently I had the honor of attending a two week trip to Tokyo, Kyoto, Niseko, and Hiroshima. Hiroshima of which was one location where a nuclear weapon was dropped during WW2. During the time in Hiroshima we visited the Peace Museum. Which had a model of the atomic bomb used. The atomic bomb dropped on Hiroshima was called “Little Boy” was the first ever atomic gun-type bomb ever used in modern warfare. This is where my engineering interests kick in. The little boy had a prototype chemical explosive that launched two separate pieces of uranium into each other which created a supercritical mass that sustained a massive chain reaction.
