This was my last week in San Diego. I was only there until Tuesday morning, but let me just say what a wonderful experience! I will be forever grateful.
Because the 4th of July was on Tuesday I didn’t have to go to work on Monday either. 
Even though I was fine with working on Monday and it would have been my last day, when I asked my mentor Yu she said it was no big deal and that I didn’t need to come in. The same situation happened to all of the other Pinterns I was living with. So first I made sure I was fully packed for the next morning and then my roommates and I went out to watch the fireworks and get some food. We went to a taco place first which was amazing and then we headed out to Mission Bay for the fireworks. We did end up getting there two hours too early though so we decided to get coffee and walk around. The show was at 9:00 pm so we started walking at 8:30 pm towards the beach. The fireworks were amazing and I had a lot of fun with the other Pinterns. When we got back home I made a fire and sat out there for a while with Giada saying our goodbyes before finally heading to bed.
Around 5:45 am everyone was up on Tuesday ready to head to the airport with me. Abrillielle drove and we got there right on time. I said goodbye one last time and headed in. My flight left at 8:00 am and I landed in Montrose at 2:00 pm.
Once again I wanna say thank you to everyone who worked together to give me this amazing experience. I made a very great friend in the process and I have learned so much about adulting and living on my own. Until next time… 🙂
Lily, I’m so happy to hear that the end of your Pintership was this amazing. It sounds like you have learned a ton during your pinternship and I cant wait for your presentation this fall!
