Last week of my internship, I gave a presentation to some undergraduate students as well as some doctoral students to show them my research methods and the process before handing the project over to them.
The presentation was moved up to Monday when is supposed to be due on Friday, which made me anxious, luckily I prepared. Before the presentation I spent the day in Denver, collecting recidivism data with a senior in undergraduate school. We spent all of the morning collecting the data, we were only able to collect data from seven different people because it was so time-consuming.
The rest of the week I spent my time reorganizing the data I had collected before I handed it over to a new group of people. During this process I realized that I was missing a few court dockets on excel, as a result, I had to redownload a new excel file filled with court dockets and transfer some of the missing dockets onto my current excel file.
On Friday, I submitted an email to my mentor and his team with tips on the research methods. I gave them the login information to Bloomberg law and I also submitted my excel file. Later that day, I went to dinner with my mentor and his family at their favorite sushi place called “Hapa.” That same day, I made vegetarian tacos for my friends birthday.
My roommates wanted an extra day with me when I was not busy with my internship so I stayed in Boulder on Saturday. We went hiking to the Rocky Mountains National Park then we went to the Dushanbe Teahouse and I left the next morning.
