This week, I spent my time working on a presentation that I am supposed to give to a group of undergraduates before handing my research over to them. While researching, I have had to think about the reproducibility of my work, patterns, and methodology. I am extremely nervous about my presentation, but I have put a lot of effort into it and I bet it will be great.

For patterns, I have been taking notes mainly on gender patterns in different categories of criminal organizations. All of them are male-dominated, but the order of women in these criminal organizations from the greatest to least is gangs, sex trafficking, drug trafficking, and government.

On Wednesday, I met up with my mentor. We talked about focusing on patterns in the cases themselves as well as patterns in my methods of research. Also, I made a count of the amount of gang-related dockets I have read and how many have VICAR and CCE charges.

Lehenga – I forgot to take a photo so this my housemate in it

On my free time I went on runs and I got my housemate Farastu to become my running partner. Farastu and Eravatee dressed me up in a Lehenga. On the weekend we invited people to eat pizza and play board games.
