This week was great! It was extremely productive and I got to break out of my usual work routine. To start of the week, I attended a meeting at the Institute of Behavioral Science, then in the middle of the week I attended another meeting with the librarian at CU Law to help us navigate new databases.
The meeting at IBS was with a couple of people on my mentor’s team, working to receive a doctoral degree. From 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM we looked through research data to see whether or not the GRID program has been helping juveniles referred to the program stay out of gangs. The data is yet to be determined since we are waiting on few people’s data, and the team still has to touch-up on some of the information.
On Wednesday, I had a zoom meeting with the team working on RICO. While working on collecting the data, I noticed that a lot of dockets we had to access cost money. The librarian gave us a few free law websites that would help. However, I have been struggling to learn how to use the websites since they are so different from Bloomberg. The rest of the weekdays, I went to the Institute and I did my research there.
I have been passing my free time by baking and cooking for my housemates and their friends.
