Hi, I’m Alise Hardie, an intern working at Colorado School of Mines. I’ve been working with Austin, a graduate student under Dr. Petruska. Dr.Petruska is a mechanical engineering professor.

We finished up making the graph for performance vs. the window size. The performance of how the data is most accurately collected for the window size of the audio file.

We are now moving from limestone classification to concrete. It is going to use almost similar code but not the same to classify if the tool is dull or sharp. Which means we have to load in new data but to do so we have to write different code then the limestone one. This is because our concrete data is stored within other data, unlike the limestone which was all stored together by itself. So we are writing code to pick out certain files within a folder based on material.

For the long weekend I was able to go home and enjoy time with my family. We played mini golf, and have done many other fun things.

We enjoy hearing what all you are doing. It sounds great that you have finished one part of your project. It must be exciting to be starting on another phase. We are looking forward to hearing about your progress on the work with concrete.
