This week I received the motor and prop from shipping. I have been mounting the motor on and gluing the final pieces together. It should be ready to fly any day now.

I finished up the research from last week; the next step is to test the motor/prop combinations out. We attached them to this bar (see picture below) and tested the thrust.

This is a picture of the wires from my motor. The connectors were too small so I had to solder on some bigger ones.

The scale underneath measures the amount of thrust the motor and prop are pushing. I learned how to charge the batteries using a balancer so that I can input the amount of amps and cells in the battery without overcharging and starting a fire.

I also helped glue pieces on the ATLAS drone. Using the left over 3-D printed scraps and some acetone, the mixture makes a nice glue. Next week, we will be testing out the different cameras that can be mounted on ATLAS and comparing resolution and field of view.

These are the size cameras that can be mounted on the sides of the drone to take a 360 degree panorama.
