What’s it like to paint with scribble bots or to use our feet as paintbrushes? We’ll experiment with unusual materials, and play with processes and technology. Join us for MAD LABS on Tuesday afternoons for a different hands-on, scientific activity each week that will encourage kids to experiment, learn, design, create, investigate, and more. In “Fashion Engineering,” creativity meets cutting-edge technology! This all-girls STEM class invites students to design, prototype, and bring their fashionable ideas to life. Over the first three weeks, participants will learn about design processes such as tessellations and other key elements of pattern-making, using hands-on techniques to prototype their designs. During the final two weeks, students will take their designs from concept to reality by 3D printing their creations and assembling them into functional fashion pieces. Whether you’re dreaming of accessories, wearable art, or something entirely new, this class will help you engineer your vision and explore the exciting world where fashion meets technology!

Come join Pinhead at the Wilkinson Public Library for our monthly Lego Club called “Wildcard Lego”. Kids of all ages are invited to come join our fun engineering challenges! Meets the first Thursday of each month, except during breaks.

Pinhead offers a monthly open house for kids of all ages to drop in after school to work on a themed laser-cutting project or create their own on our Glowforge Laser Cutter. Snacks are provided. Parents are welcomed to join in on the fun as well! Come and go any time between 3:30pm and 5:30pm.
